Measuring made simple
Mini blinds are almost always fitted inside the recess, sitting close to the glass on small brackets.
Width
Measure the recess at its narrowest, then deduct 10 mm.
Drop
Top of recess to sill, longest of three readings.
Depth
25 mm of depth is enough for a mini blind headrail.

Maintenance
- Dust with a vacuum brush; aluminium does not absorb stains.
- Wash slats in place with warm water and a drop of washing-up liquid.
- Do not bend slats back into shape — replace them instead.

Are mini blinds noisy?
The slats sit on nylon spacers, so tilt and lift stay quiet. Rattle usually comes from a loose bottom rail — one screw fixes it.
Can they fit a shallow recess?
Yes. The headrail is 36 mm deep, so a 40 mm reveal is enough.
